Sheep:  Needle Felted 3D (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.): $45
Instructor:  Candace Osborn
What better way to bring home memories from a fiber fair than to create a woolen sheep!  Students will be given materials and instruction on how to needle felt your own little woolie.  Using a wire armature with attached polyclay hooves, you will use a felting needle to build the body of the sheep from natural wool.  Beads for eyes will add a lively touch.
Skill level:  Some felting experience helpful
Materials Fee:  $15.00 wool, felting needle, wire armature with hooves, foam pad to work on, beads, needle and thread.
Students should bring:  Thin leather gloves are a great guard for your hands if you think you are likely to poke yourself (these needles are very sharp).
Class Size: 5-10

MosaicKnittingSampler  (Continued from morning):  $85 (for the full day)
Instructor: Suzanne Pufpaff
Mosaic Knitting is a fun and interesting way to incorporate color work into your knitting without having to work with more than one color strand at a time. Mosaic knitting is another kind of knitting that benefits from being able to work your knitting project all from the front side. In this workshop we will explore a number of simple Mosaic patterns from Barbara Walkers book on Mosaic knitting. We will review how to knit without turning your work so you will always be looking at your Mosaic from the right side and how to read a chart for Mosaic knitting.
Skill level:  Basic knitting skills required.
Materials: Students should bring two colors of yarn with appropriate needles. One skein of each color will be more than enough.
Class limit: 12
