Description: This is where you can see a mitten, sock or hat start to evolve.Learn how to make circular chains and begin a project in the round in naalbinding.  Naalbinding needle provided.
Experience Required:  Students should know the Oslo Stitch
Students should bring 100% wool yarn
Class Limit: 7
Minimum Age:  13

Description:  Come and learn an art as old as fishing. Netting has been used as a utilitarian art form for as long as people have fishing, but in the 12th-15th century we have evidence of some beautiful snoods/hairnets made using these same techniques. These, today, are also used to create bags, lace, the ground for embroidered lace, and many other beautiful things. Come and learn the core techniques while creating a snood for yourself!
Students Should Bring:  Nothing
No Experience Necessary
Materials Fee:   $5 includes handouts and kit with thread, $12 if the students wish to purchase the loom
